Part A: Terms and Conditions for Information Release
1. Introduction:
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you consent to the release of specific information related to microchip, passport, UELN, tattoo, PIN# (USA), PID (Canada), and medical information searches within the IER registration database. Please read these terms carefully and ensure you understand them fully before providing your consent.
2. Information Release:
Upon searches conducted within the IER registration database, the following information may be released:
- Microchip number
- Passport details
- UELN (Unique Equine Life Number)
- Tattoo identification
- Premise ID (PID) number (Canada)
- Premises Identification Number (PIN#) (USA)
- Medical information
3. Authorized Access:
Your information will be accessible to verified and authorized government officials, approved stores that sell regulated veterinary medicine, and registered veterinary clinics, ensuring the security and confidentiality of your information.
4. Use of Information:
The released information will be used exclusively for the purposes of:
- Ensuring equine traceability
- Facilitating the purchase of regulated veterinary medicine
- Enhancing the management and welfare of equines
- Providing necessary medical care and treatment
- Complying with relevant laws and regulations
5. Data Protection:
IER is committed to safeguarding your information. All data will be handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, ensuring the security and confidentiality of your information.
6. Limitation of Liability:
IER will not be liable for any unauthorized access to your information due to security breaches beyond our control. We employ robust security measures to protect your information, ensuring its safety and integrity.
7. Amendments:
IER reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to you, and your continued consent will be sought.
8. Withdrawal of Consent:
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by notifying IER in writing. Upon withdrawal of consent, your information will no longer be released upon searches within the IER registration database.
Part B: Terms and Conditions for Use of IER Registration Database
1. Acceptance of Terms:
By accessing and using the IER registration database, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please review them thoroughly before utilizing the IER registration database.
2. Permitted Use:
You are granted limited access to use the IER registration database for legitimate and lawful purposes related to equine identification, traceability, management, and medical care.
3. Prohibited Use:
You are prohibited from using the IER registration database for unauthorized, unlawful, or malicious activities, including but not limited to unauthorized data access, hacking, data manipulation, and harassment.
4. Data Accuracy:
While IER endeavors to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the registration database, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the information within the database.
5. Security:
IER employs robust security measures to protect the registration database and the information contained therein. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials.
6. Limitation of Liability:
IER will not be liable for any damage, loss, or harm resulting from your use of the IER registration database, including but not limited to data breaches, data loss, and system downtime.
7. Amendments:
IER reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the IER registration database constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
8. Termination:
IER reserves the right to terminate your access to the IER registration database for breach of these Terms and Conditions, without prior notice.
9. Registration and Proof of Ownership:
IER is a registration database used to record microchip, tattoo, PIN# (USA), and PID (Canada) information as proof of ownership. A Certificate of Registration will be provided to confirm the recorded information, enhancing the security and traceability of equine ownership.
